Your doctor may prescribe Actofyline-FM Tablet 10's to help manage the following conditions:

• Asthma: It helps prevent and manage asthma symptoms by reducing swelling in the lungs and keeping the breathing passages open.
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Guided by a specialist, this medicine may help relieve persistent coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness associated with COPD by loosening thick mucus and relaxing lung muscles.
• Allergic Bronchitis: It addresses both the underlying swelling in the bronchial tubes and the allergy triggers that cause coughing fits.

When used as directed as part of your treatment plan, Actofyline-FM Tablet 10's may provide the following benefits:

• Easier breathing: By widening the airways, it reduces wheezing and chest tightness, helping you breathe more freely.
• Effective mucus clearance: It thins and loosens sticky phlegm, making it much easier to cough up and clear your airways.
• All-in-one allergy relief: It blocks the natural substances in your body that cause sneezing, a runny nose, and watery eyes.
• Long-term respiratory support: Regular use helps prevent sudden breathing difficulties, reducing the frequency of flare-ups.

• Actofyline-FM Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• It is usually to be taken once daily, preferably in the evening; however, follow your doctor’s advice regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow Actofyline-FM Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break Actofyline-FM Tablet 10's.

• Avoid respiratory triggers: Reduce exposure to cigarette smoke, dust, pollen, pet dander, strong fumes, and other triggers that may worsen your symptoms.
• Stay physically active: Regular physical activity, as advised by your healthcare professional, can help support lung function and overall health.
• Practise breathing exercises: Breathing exercises recommended by your healthcare professional may help improve breathing control and lung function.
• Improve indoor air quality: Keep your home well ventilated, minimise dust, and clean air filters regularly to help reduce exposure to airborne irritants.
• Avoid smoking: If you smoke, ask your healthcare professional about support to quit, as smoking can worsen respiratory conditions and reduce the effectiveness of treatment.

• Not for sudden breathing attacks: This medicine does not provide immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack or severe breathing difficulty. Always keep your prescribed rescue inhaler available if your doctor has recommended one.
• Do not stop treatment suddenly: Continue taking this medicine for as long as prescribed, even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop.
• Tell your doctor about mood changes: Montelukast has been associated with changes in mood or behaviour in some people. Contact your doctor if you notice agitation, anxiety, depression, unusual dreams, or thoughts of self-harm.
• Keep follow-up appointments: Attend regular check-ups so your doctor can monitor your symptoms and adjust your treatment if needed.
• Use in children: Do not give this medicine to a child unless it has been prescribed by a doctor. The dose and suitability of this combination depend on the child's age, weight, and medical condition.
