Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is used in the treatment of cardiac arrest, hypotension due to septic shock, and life-threatening allergic reactions. The detailed uses of Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml are as follows:

• Anaphylaxis: Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is used as first-line treatment for severe allergic reactions; it rapidly reverses airway swelling, hypotension, and shock.
• Cardiac Arrest: Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is used during CPR to restore the heart rhythm and improve blood flow.
• Septic Shock: Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml supports blood pressure and cardiac output in life-threatening infections.

Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml contains 'adrenaline'; it is also called epinephrine. It belongs to a class of medicines called 'sympathomimetic', primarily taken for the treatment of cardiac arrest, hypotension due to septic shock and life-threatening allergic reactions. Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml works by increasing blood flow to the heart and also increases the chance of restoring a heartbeat in cardiac arrest. Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml increases mean arterial blood pressure in adult patients with hypotension associated with septic shock. It is also used to increase blood flow through veins by constricting blood vessels and helps to relax the muscles, which block the airways and allow breathing to return to normal in allergic reactions due to foods, drugs, insect stings or bites or any other allergens. Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is also used in the treatment of bradycardia(slow heart rate), mydriasis( dilation of the pupil of the eye) and acute asthma.

• Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage of Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml based on your medical condition.
• Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml will be administered into a muscle (intramuscularly) by the doctor or nurse in a hospital. In emergency situations, the doctor may give you a diluted injection into a vein (intravenously).
• Do not self-administer it.

• Eat fresh vegetables, nuts, beans and legumes.

Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml should be used with caution in brain disorders, pheochromocytoma (tumour on adrenal gland), pulmonary oedema, kidney impairment, hypertension, and liver impairment. Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is not recommended for diabetes, Parkinson's disease, hyperthyroidism, narrow-angle glaucoma and cardiovascular diseases. Adren 1 mg Injection 1 ml is for emergency use only, and medical supervision of the patients is necessary after administration.
