About Aerocort Inhaler

Aerocort Inhaler is used to treat asthma. Asthma is a respiratory condition caused by hypersensitive airways, which become inflamed, swollen and filled with mucous, making breathing difficult. Symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing, and cough.

Aerocort Inhaler contains Beclomethasone (corticosteroids) and Levosalbutamol (bronchodilators). Levosalbutamol works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Beclomethasone works by preventing the release of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammatory reactions. Thereby, Aerocort Inhaler makes breathing easier.

Use Aerocort Inhaler as prescribed. In some cases, Aerocort Inhaler may cause specific common side effects such as thrush, hoarseness of voice and headache. Most of these side effects do not require immediate medical attention and will typically resolve gradually over time. Directions for Use

  • Aerocort Inhaler can be taken with or without food.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
  • Hold the inhaler/transhaler with the mouthpiece downwards. Put the mouthpiece between your teeth and seal the lips around it. Then, press down the inhaler once to release the medication. Breathe in slowly and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds. Breathe out slowly. Repeat the process until you have inhaled the number of puffs prescribed by the doctor.
