AKURIT Z KID TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called anti-mycobacterial drugs primarily used to treat tuberculosis (TB). Tuberculosis is an infectious respiratory disease that affects the lungs but can also spread to other body parts such as the kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow. 

AKURIT Z KID TABLET is a combination medicine containing rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, which belong to an anti-tubercular class of drugs. It works by destroying the bacteria that is responsible for causing lung infection known as Tuberculosis (TB). The bacteria that causes the infection is Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

AKURIT Z KID TABLET may cause certain side effects in your child, such as indigestion, headache, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. AKURIT Z KID TABLET should be given as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose to the child. It can be given with or without food. Generally, the dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician, depending upon the severity of the infection. Finish the full course of treatment, and do not skip any doses even if your child starts feeling good.

AKURIT Z KID TABLET is intended for pediatric use only. Avoid giving AKURIT Z KID TABLET to your child if she/he is allergic to any of the components present in this medicine. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before giving AKURIT Z KID TABLET, tell your paediatrician if your child has eye problems, liver disease, or kidney disease.

AKURIT Z KID TABLET is used to effectively treat tuberculosis (TB). The detailed uses of AKURIT Z KID TABLET are as follows:

• Treats active tuberculosis: AKURIT Z KID TABLET helps eliminate the bacteria that cause TB in the lungs and other parts of the body.
• Prevents the spread of infection: by targeting and killing Mycobacterium tuberculosis, AKURIT Z KID TABLET reduces the risk of transmitting TB to others.
• Supports combination therapy: AKURIT Z KID TABLET is used as part of a multi-drug regimen to prevent the development of drug-resistant TB strains.

• AKURIT Z KID TABLET can be given to your child 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, or as advised by the paediatrician.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Disperse the tablet in a glass of water, mix well, and give it to your child.
• Do not chew or crush it.

AKURIT Z KID TABLET contains rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, which is an anti-tuberculosis medicine. Do not stop giving this medicine without informing your doctor; doing so may cause the infection to return or worsen. Adhere to your doctor's instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

Avoid giving AKURIT Z KID TABLET to your child if she/he is allergic to it. Keep your paediatrician informed about your child’s health condition, including their previous medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform the paediatrician about all the OTC medicines, including other vitamin supplements that your child is taking. It is advised not to give more than the prescribed dose of medicine. Also, inform your doctor if your child has liver or kidney-related issues before administration. AKURIT Z KID TABLET is intended for use in children. Hence, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should avoid using this medicine.
