AKURIT Z KID TABLET is a combination medicine containing rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, which belong to an anti-tubercular class of drugs. It works by destroying the bacteria that is responsible for causing lung infection known as Tuberculosis (TB). The bacteria that causes the infection is Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

AKURIT Z KID TABLET may cause certain side effects in your child, such as indigestion, headache, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. AKURIT Z KID TABLET should be given as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose to the child. It can be given with or without food. Generally, the dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician, depending upon the severity of the infection. Finish the full course of treatment, and do not skip any doses even if your child starts feeling good.

Signs and symptoms of an overdose of AKURIT Z KID TABLET may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, lack of energy, headache, and itching. Later symptoms may include severe stomach pain, yellowing of your skin or eyes, body fluids that are dark brown or dark red orange, swelling in your face, seizure, or loss of consciousness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
