About Alcoliv Tablet 10's

Alcoliv Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medicines known as antioxidants. It is primarily used to treat alcoholic fatty liver disease and alcohol intoxication (disturbance in mental function or behaviour during or after alcohol consumption). Alcoholic liver disease describes medical conditions and their corresponding symptoms which develop due to liver damage caused by alcohol misuse and abuse. When the disease arises, it may not lead to any symptoms in the early times until the individual’s liver has undergone widespread damage.

Alcoliv Tablet 10's contains metadoxine, which is an antioxidant. Alcoliv Tablet 10's works by preventing the liver from harmful chemical substances. It enhances the elimination of alcohol from blood and tissues, which leads to faster recovery from alcohol intoxication, hence preventing liver damage.

Take Alcoliv Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Alcoliv Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. Alcoliv Tablet 10's works by enhancing the rate of alcohol clearance from tissues and blood which results faster recovery from alcohol intoxication. This is long-term protects the liver from harm against harmful chemicals called free radicals, thus improving the total health of the liver.
The most common side effects related to Alcoliv Tablet 10's include upset stomach, nausea and diarrhea. However, these effects are not seen in all patients. If you are concerned about them or they do not go away, inform your doctor. If you have difficulties with diarrhea your doctor may decrease the dose or stop the treatment. Drink adequate water or fluids to stay hydrated in case of severe diarrhea.
Infrequent drinking, excessive alcohol intake for a long period of time, unusual and irregular drinking are the risk factors of alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Fatigue, vomiting, nausea, unease, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of weight and loss of appetite are the main symptoms of alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
