Your doctor may prescribe Alfugress-D Tablet for the following medically recognised indications:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): It treats the symptoms of an enlarged prostate in men, helping to ease difficulties with urinating, weak urine stream, and frequent or urgent trips to the bathroom.
• Prevention of Acute Urinary Retention: It helps reduce the risk of sudden, complete blockage of urine flow, which is a painful medical emergency that often requires surgical intervention.

Alfugress-D Tablet provides effective relief from urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate by improving urine flow and addressing the underlying enlargement of the prostate gland. With regular use, it helps improve bladder function, reduces nighttime urination, and enhances overall quality of life.

• Improves Urine Flow and Bladder Emptying: By relaxing the muscles around the bladder and prostate, this medicine helps improve urine flow and reduces the feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.

• Take Alfugress-D Tablet with food or as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Swallow it as a whole with water.
• Do not crush, break or chew it.

• Limit your fluid intake in the evening, especially two to three hours before you plan to sleep, to minimise nighttime bathroom trips.
• Avoid or significantly limit your consumption of caffeine and alcohol, as both can irritate your bladder and worsen urinary urgency.
• Practice 'double voiding' by waiting a few moments after you finish urinating, relaxing, and trying to go once more to ensure your bladder is empty.
• Avoid sudden changes in your posture. Stand up slowly from sitting or lying down positions to minimise the risk of temporary dizziness.
• Keep physically active, as regular moderate exercise is associated with better prostate health and reduced urinary symptoms.

• Do not donate blood: You must not donate blood while taking Alfugress-D Tablet and for at least six months after your last dose. This prevents the medicine from being transfused into a pregnant woman, which could harm her unborn baby.
• Cataract surgery warning: If you are planning any eye surgery, tell your eye surgeon well in advance that you are taking Alfugress-D Tablet , as it can cause complications during the procedure (floppy iris syndrome).
• Safe handling: Leaking capsules must never be handled by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the active ingredients can be absorbed through the skin.
• Postural awareness: Always sit or lie down immediately if you begin to feel dizzy or lightheaded after taking this medication.
