Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia. Additionally, Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet is also used to reduce the risk of suicidal behaviour in patients with schizophrenia or other similar disorders. Schizophrenia is a medical condition in which the person may feel, hear, or see things that are not there, believe things that are not true, or feel unusually suspicious or confused.

Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet contains Clozapine, which works by blocking the effects of chemical receptors in the brain, such as dopamine and serotonin. Thus, it helps in improving mood, behaviour, and thoughts.

Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. In some cases, Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet may cause side effects, including tachycardia (a fast heartbeat), dizziness, headache, tremors, sweating, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, and visual disturbances.   • Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet can be taken with or without food.
  • It is usually taken 1-2 times daily at the same time each day or as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Place the tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve before swallowing.

If you forget a dose of Alkepin ODT 200 Tablet , take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
