About ALSCAB LOTION

ALSCAB LOTION is used to treat wounds, cuts, and minor burns, and protect against infections. In addition to this, it is also used to treat scabies (a contagious, intensely itchy skin condition caused by a tiny, burrowing mite) and pediculosis (a condition in which tiny insects infest the scalp).

ALSCAB LOTION contains Cetrimide and Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane). Cetrimide has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Cetrimide destroys or damages the cell membranes of bacteria; this eventually results in the death of bacteria. Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane) works by killing the lice and the eggs and mites of scabies. 

The dose and duration will be prescribed by the doctor depending upon your medical condition. The most common side effects of ALSCAB LOTION are skin rash, burning, itching, irritation of the skin, tingling, and numbness of the skin, as well as dizziness in some cases. Most of these side effects of ALSCAB LOTION do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Uses of ALSCAB LOTION

Treatment of wounds, minor cuts, scabies and pediculosis.

Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Apply a thin layer of the lotion on the affected areas. Typically, it's left on for 8-12 hours before washing off with warm water.• Avoid contact with the nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Wash your hands after using ALSCAB LOTION to prevent the spread of infection.

What if I have taken an overdose of ALSCAB LOTION

Though overdose is unlikely due to low systemic absorption, it is advised to avoid exceeding the recommended dose. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any unusual symptoms.

If you are allergic to ALSCAB LOTION or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. ALSCAB LOTION is for external use only. Avoid contact of ALSCAB LOTION with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case ALSCAB LOTION comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, please inform your doctor before taking ALSCAB LOTION . Avoid using ALSCAB LOTION in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increase the risk of side effects. ALSCAB LOTION is not recommended in seizure patients. ALSCAB LOTION is used with caution in neurotoxicity. Inform your doctor before taking ALSCAB LOTION to treat the second attack of scabies that comes soon after the first episode. Because using it more than 1 time can cause seizures and death.
