Amcuff Syrup

Amcuff Syrup is primarily used to treat cough. It helps in dissolving hard phlegm (sputum/cough), which makes breathing difficult, usually in respiratory problems like allergies, sinusitis, common cold, bronchitis, flu, etc.

Amcuff Syrup is a combination of Bromhexine, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline. Bromhexine works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs. Guaifenesin works by reducing the stickiness or viscosity of mucus, making it easier to clear from the airways. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and provides relief from minor throat irritation. Terbutaline relaxes muscles and widens the airways making breathing easier.

Some people may experience certain common side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tremor, stomach upset and fast heartbeats. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, it is advised to inform your doctor before taking Amcuff Syrup. Avoid taking Amcuff Syrup while breastfeeding as it is excreted in breast milk and may cause adverse effects in the baby. Amcuff Syrup may cause dizziness, so drive with caution.

Amcuff Syrup is used in the treatment of cough. The detailed uses of Amcuff Syrup are as follows:

• Relieves Cough: Amcuff Syrup provides relief from a productive cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema, and other bronchopulmonary disorders by loosening and clearing mucus from the airways, making it easier to expel and improving breathing.

• Amcuff Syrup can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.
• Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not measure the dose correctly. Shake well before use.

• Relieves productive cough by helping to loosen and clear mucus from the airways.
• Thins thick phlegm in the lungs, making it easier to cough out.
• Improves breathing by relaxing the airway muscles and opening the bronchial tubes.
• Reduces chest congestion and helps clear blocked air passages.

• If you are suffering from fits (epilepsy) or have a history of fits, please inform your doctor before taking Amcuff Syrup as it may increase the risk of recurrent fits.
• If you have diabetes, fits, high blood pressure, glaucoma, cough from a long time, chronic bronchitis (swelling and irritation of the lining of airways), emphysema (lung condition resulting in shortness of breath), overactive thyroid, phenylketonuria (a congenital disability that causes accumulation of amino acid, phenylalanine in the body), ulcers in the stomach or intestines, kidney, liver or heart problems, please inform your doctor before taking Amcuff Syrup.
