Ampiclox Capsule is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. About Ampiclox Capsule

Ampiclox Capsule belongs to the group of medicines called 'antibiotics' used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is a 'broad-spectrum antibiotic' which treats bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, bones, lungs, and post-operative wound infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. 

Ampiclox Capsule contains two antibiotics, namely: Ampicillin and Cloxacillin. Ampiclox Capsule works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby kills the bacteria and helps in treating and preventing bacterial infections.
 
The dose and duration of Ampiclox Capsule may vary depending upon your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, Ampiclox Capsule may cause common side-effects such as diarrhoea, rashes, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
 
Inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take Ampiclox Capsule on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. • Urinary tract infections: Ampiclox Capsule is used to treat urinary tract infections by eliminating the bacteria that cause symptoms like burning sensations and frequent urination.
• Management of gastrointestinal infections: Ampiclox Capsule can help in treating certain gastrointestinal infections, particularly those caused by susceptible strains of bacteria.
• Treatment of bone and joint infections: Ampiclox Capsule is also involved in treating bone (osteomyelitis) and joint (septic arthritis) infections, helping to resolve these serious conditions.
• Respiratory tract infections: Ampiclox Capsule treats respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia, by targeting the bacteria causing these conditions.

Directions for Use

Take Ampiclox Capsule 30-60 minutes before meals as food may cause reduced absorption. Swallow the medication as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.

Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Ampiclox Capsule . Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. Do not take anti-diarrhoeal medicine on your own.
