Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's is used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung). Additionally, it is used to prevent blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat). It contains Apixaban, which works by inhibiting the action of blood clotting factor and prevents the conversion of fibrinogen (soluble protein) to fibrin (insoluble protein). Thus, it helps in preventing blood clot formation. Some people may experience side effects such as nausea, anaemia (lack of blood), and unusual bleeding, including swelling and bruising. About Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's

Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's is used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung). Deep vein thrombosis is a condition in which blood clots form in deep veins, usually in the legs. Pulmonary embolism is a condition in which a blood clot blocks the arteries in the lungs. 

Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's contains Apixaban, which works by inhibiting the action of blood clotting factor (Xa), which is an important element of blood clotting.

Not everyone who is taking Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's will get these side effects. Some people may experience nausea, anaemia, unusual bleeding, swelling and bruising. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.

  • Treatment of DVT and PE: Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's treats and prevents deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
  • Prevention of DVT and PE after Surgery: Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's also prevents DVT and PE in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery.

Directions for Use

  • Take Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's with or without food or as advised by a doctor.

  • Avoid vitamin K-rich foods such as coriander, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, collard greens, kale (leaf cabbage), black liquorice, turnip greens, avocados, Brussels sprouts, as they may decrease the effectiveness of Apixamore 2.5 mg Tablet 30's.
  • Do regular exercise, as it helps to dissolve blood clots, especially in obese people.
  • Do not consume more than 14 units of alcohol per week, as excess alcohol intake may increase the risk of bleeding and quit smoking.
