Ascodex BR Syrup is used to treat chesty cough. The detailed uses of Ascodex BR Syrup are as follows:

• Relief from Cough:Ascodex BR Syrup is frequently used to treat persistent coughs caused by colds, allergies, or asthma. It soothes the throat by minimizing irritation.
• Asthma Symptom Management:This syrup can help manage asthma symptoms like wheezing and difficulty breathing by acting as a bronchodilator and opening the airways.
• Expectorant Properties:Ascodex BR Syrup loosens mucus in the respiratory tract, making it easier to expel phlegm and breathe.
• Relief from Bronchitis symptoms:Ascodex BR Syrup relieves coughing and congestion caused by bronchitis.
• Relief from COPD symptoms:Ascodex BR Syrup reduces COPD symptoms, including coughing and shortness of breath.

Ascodex BR Syrup is a combination of three drugs, namely Guaiphenesin, Terbutaline sulphate and Bromhexine hydrochloride used to treat a cough with mucus. Guaiphenesin belongs to the class of expectorants that work by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reducing the stickiness of mucus and helping to remove it from the airways. Terbutaline sulphate belongs to the class of bronchodilators that relax muscles and widen the airways. Thereby, it makes breathing easier. Bromhexine hydrochloride belongs to the class of mucolytic agents (cough/sputum thinner) that work by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose. • Ascodex BR Syrup can be taken with or without food, or as advised by your doctor.

• Shake well before use.

• Avoid dairy products such as milk as it may increase mucus production. Also, avoid processed or refined foods. Instead, replace baked foods, fried foods, white bread, white pasta, French fries, sugary desserts, and chips with green leafy vegetables.
