Asthakind DX Syrup 60 ml

Asthakind DX Syrup is used to treat dry cough. The detailed uses of Asthakind DX Syrup are as follows:

• Relief from Cough: Asthakind DX Syrup helps to relieve persistent and dry coughs caused by respiratory conditions like colds and allergies.
• Treatment of Allergic Conditions: Asthakind DX Syrup helps to alleviate symptoms of allergies and respiratory infections, including runny nose and throat irritation, providing relief for patients.
• Decongestant: Asthakind DX Syrup works as a decongestant as it contains phenylephrine, which narrows blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and relieving congestion.

• Asthakind DX Syrup can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Shake the bottle well before each use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided with the pack.
• Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not accurately measure the dose.

• Asthakind DX Syrup contains Chlorpheniramine maleate, Phenylephrine, and Dextromethorphan, used to treat dry cough. 
• Chlorpheniramine maleate helps provide relief from allergy symptoms, including sneezing, a runny nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, and stiffness.
• Phenylephrine helps in shrinking the blood vessels located in the nasal passage, thereby reducing the stuffy nose. 
• Dextromethorphan works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough.

• If you are allergic to Asthakind DX Syrup or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using it.
• Asthakind DX Syrup is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.
• If you are about to undergo any medical tests or surgery, please inform your doctor that you are taking this medicine.
• Avoid taking Asthakind DX Syrup if you have taken medicines such as linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, rasagiline, isocarboxazid, tranylcypromine and methylene blue injection in the past 14 days.
• If you have glaucoma, urinary problems, an enlarged prostate, phenylketonuria (a birth defect that causes the accumulation of the amino acid, phenylalanine in the body), cough with mucus or cough caused by asthma, smoking, chronic bronchitis or emphysema (a lung condition causing shortness of breath), inform your doctor before taking Asthakind DX Syrup.

• Avoid dairy products such as milk, as they may increase mucus production. Also, avoid processed or refined foods. 
• Drink plenty of fluids to avoid a dry throat. It also helps loosen mucus.
• Avoid citrus fruits as they may worsen the cough.
• Eat fruits rich in water content, such as pears, watermelon, peaches and pineapples.
