Asthakind DX Syrup is indicated in the treatment of dry cough in children. It may also be used to treat whooping cough, smoker’s cough and allergic cough. A dry cough, also known as a non-productive cough, does not produce mucus/phlegm.
Asthakind DX Syrup contains chlorpheniramine maleate, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, and phenylephrine hydrochloride. It works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Additionally, it relieves congestion and alleviates allergy symptoms.
