Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet is used for the prevention of heart attack and stroke. A heart attack generally refers to a blocked flow of blood to the heart due to the blockage of the arteries. The blockage is most often a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).

Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet is composed of rosuvastatin and aspirin. This medicine reduces the bad cholesterol (also known as low-density lipoproteins or LDL), and triglycerides (TG). It also collectively prevents the formation of clots in the blood vessels. Together, Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet helps to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related chest pain (angina).

In some cases, you may experience headache, ankle swelling (oedema), dark urine, muscle weakness, slow heart rate, dizziness, and nausea. Most of these side effects of Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Take Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet with or without food. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take your medicine based on your medical condition. Try not to stop taking this medicine on your own. Do not chew, break, or crush the medicine.

Avoid taking Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet if you are allergic to it. Stopping Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet abruptly may worsen your condition and increase your risk of future heart attack. • Anti-inflammatory Effects: Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet is known for its ability to reduce inflammation associated with various medical conditions.
• Management of Angina: Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet supports the management of angina symptoms by enhancing blood flow and reducing the heart's workload.
• Post-surgical Care: Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet is administered after certain surgeries to lower the risk of thromboembolic events, promoting smoother recovery.

• Let your doctor know if you are highly sensitive to atorvastatin or aspirin, have any active liver disease, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
• The patient should inform the doctor that they are taking Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet before any surgery is scheduled or any new medicine is taken.
• Atorvastatin present in Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet is a pregnancy category X drug so it is contraindicated in pregnant women.
• Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet contains atorvastatin, which can cause muscle problems like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. So, any signs of muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness during the initial months of the treatment should be closely monitored.
• Safety and effectiveness of Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet have not been established, so its use should be avoided in paediatric patients or children less than 12 years of age.
• Abrupt discontinuation of Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet may lead to the occurrence of cardiovascular events like heart attack, stroke, and angina (heart-related chest pain). Hence, you should consult a doctor before stopping the dose of Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet .
• Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness while using Atodin-ASP 150 Tablet .
• Please do not consume alcohol since it may worsen the side effects like dizziness and increased blood pressure.
