Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, bone, soft tissue, joints, urinary tract, and respiratory tract. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria infect the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in the body.
Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, it kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of amoxicillin against the bacteria. Together, Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's helps in treating bacterial infections.
Take Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's as prescribed. The dose and duration of Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's can vary depending upon your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as pain and swelling at the injection site, skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's may have interaction with anti-gout (allopurinol, probenecid), anticoagulants (warfarin), anti-cancer (methotrexate), and immunosuppressant (mycophenolate mofetil).

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have colitis (inflammation in the lining of the colon), mononucleosis (viral infection with sore throat and fever), haemodialysis, and liver and kidney dysfunction, inform your doctor before taking Augmentin 1.2 gm Injection 1's.
