BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML belongs to a group of medicines called muscle relaxants indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of painful muscular contractions associated with degenerative vertebral disorders, vertebral static problems, dorsal pain, low back pain, torticollis (neck muscle contractions), neurological and traumatological disorders.

BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML contains ''Thiocolchicoside,'' which works on the centres of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements, thereby relieving pain due to muscle spasms.

In some cases, BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML may cause side effects, such as drowsiness, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML is not recommended for pregnant, breastfeeding women, and women of childbearing potential who are not using effective contraception. BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML may cause drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML is not recommended for children below 16 years as safety has not been established. BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML is administered by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. Hence, the chances of overdose are less. However, no specific symptoms of overdose have been reported in patients who were treated with BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML .

Drug Warnings

Do not take BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML if you are allergic to any of its components; if you have flaccid paralysis (loose and floppy limbs), muscular hypotonia (weak muscle tone), are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are a woman of childbearing potential not using contraception. Cases of fainting of vasomotor origin have been observed; therefore, patients should be monitored following administration of BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML . Inform your doctor if you experience abdominal pain or discomfort, dark urine, itching, fever, weakness, or yellowing of skin and eyes while on treatment with BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML as it indicates liver problems.   • Massages can also be helpful.
  • Avoid freezing and hot temperatures.
  • Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes; instead, wear loose garments.
  • Rest well and get plenty of sleep.
  • To avoid developing pressure sores, change your position at least every two hours.
  • Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice pack or hot pack on the muscle for 15-20minutes.

BAKFLEX INJECTION 2ML should not be used at a higher dose or for longer than five consecutive days as it could lead to an abnormal number of chromosomes. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
