BOZE 5MG TABLET belongs to a class of anxiolytic drugs called benzodiazepines (BZD) primarily used to treat epilepsy (fits), severe anxiety over a short period. Also, BOZE 5MG TABLET is used in combination with other medicines to treat schizophrenia (a mental illness). Epilepsy (fits) is a disorder in which there is a sudden, uncontrolled disturbance in the electrical activity of nerve cells in the brain. Anxiety is a mental health disorder associated with fear, worry and excessive nervousness. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects the ability of a person to feel, think and behave clearly.
BOZE 5MG TABLET works by increasing the release of GABA (a chemical messenger that acts as a nerve-calming agent) in the brain by acting on GABA receptors. Thereby, BOZE 5MG TABLET prevents fits by stabilizing the electrical activity of nerve cells in the brain. Also, BOZE 5MG TABLET calms nerve cells and helps in reducing anxiety and induces sleep.
Take BOZE 5MG TABLET as prescribed. Your doctor will advise how often you take BOZE 5MG TABLET based on your medical condition. Some people may experience restlessness, irritability, drowsiness, constipation, aggressive behavior, tiredness or breathing problems. Most of these side effects of BOZE 5MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are known to be allergic to BOZE 5MG TABLET or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. BOZE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for children below 6 years of age. Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it may cause adverse effects in the baby. BOZE 5MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients above 65 years as there is an increased risk of adverse reactions such as dizziness, muscle weakness and drowsiness. Avoid taking BOZE 5MG TABLET if you have myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), sleep apnoea (breathing stops and starts repeatedly), breathing or liver problems. Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET with opioids as it may cause breathing problems, drowsiness, coma and even death.

Also, BOZE 5MG TABLET calms nerve cells and helps in reducing anxiety over a short period and induces sleep. Additionally, BOZE 5MG TABLET can also be used in combination with other medicines to treat schizophrenia (a mental illness).
Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET if you are known to be allergic to BOZE 5MG TABLET. BOZE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for children below 6 years of age. Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it may cause adverse effects in the baby. Drug-Drug Interaction: BOZE 5MG TABLET may have interaction with high blood pressure-lowering medicines (nebivolol), pain killers (dihydrocodeine, morphine, codeine), antifungal drug (fluconazole), antipsychotics (pimozide, haloperidol, clozapine, chlorpromazine), sleeping pills (zolpidem), epilepsy or fits related drugs (phenytoin, clonazepam, carbamazepine, valproic acid, levetiracetam, lamotrigine, pregabalin), antidepressants (paroxetine, fluvoxamine, trazodone), antihistamines/antiallergics (diphenhydramine, chlorphenamine, promethazine), anti-anxiety drugs (lorazepam, diazepam, temazepam).
Drug-Food Interaction: BOZE 5MG TABLET may interact with alcohol. Therefore, avoid intake of alcohol while taking BOZE 5MG TABLET as it may increase side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness or difficulty in concentrating.
Drug-Disease Interaction: Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET if you have myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), sleep apnoea (breathing stops and starts repeatedly), breathing or liver problems. If you have depression, spinal or cerebellar ataxia (problems in controlling movements), hallucinations, delusions (misbelief), kidney or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking BOZE 5MG TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol with BOZE 5MG TABLET as it may increase the risk of drowsiness and other adverse effects.
BOZE 5MG TABLET is a Category C pregnancy drug. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters as it may cause harm to the unborn baby.
Avoid breastfeeding while taking BOZE 5MG TABLET as it may be excreted in breast milk and cause adverse effects in the baby.
BOZE 5MG TABLET may cause dizziness, double vision or drowsiness in some people. It is an offence to drive if BOZE 5MG TABLET affects you. Therefore, avoid driving if you feel drowsy, dizzy or experience any vision problems after taking BOZE 5MG TABLET.
Take BOZE 5MG TABLET with caution, especially if you have a history of Liver diseases/conditions. The dose may be adjusted by your doctor as required.

BOZE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for children below 6 years. However, BOZE 5MG TABLET may be used in children above 6 years in dose and duration as prescribed by a doctor.
Do not take BOZE 5MG TABLET for a prolonged time as it may lead to mental or physical dependence on BOZE 5MG TABLET.
