Brimo Ophthalmic Solution

Brimo Ophthalmic Solution is used alone or in combination with other medicines to lower increased eye pressure in conditions such as ocular hypertension and glaucoma. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged.

Brimo Ophthalmic Solution contains Brimonidine that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye). Thereby, Brimo Ophthalmic Solution helps in reducing eye pressure.

Brimo Ophthalmic Solution is for ophthalmic use only. In some cases, Brimo Ophthalmic Solution may cause common side effects such as watery eyes, irritation, abnormal taste, and abnormal vision. Most of these side effects of Brimo Ophthalmic Solution are temporary, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor.

You are not recommended to stop using Brimo Ophthalmic Solution abruptly as it may increase eye pressure. Brimo Ophthalmic Solution is not recommended for children below 17 years as safety has not been established. Avoid alcohol consumption while using Brimo Ophthalmic Solution. Brimo Ophthalmic Solution used in the treatment of Glaucoma, Ocular hypertension. The detailed uses of Brimo Ophthalmic Solution are as follows:

• Glaucoma Treatment: Brimo Ophthalmic Solution reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma, slowing disease progression and preserving vision.
• Ocular Hypertension: Brimo Ophthalmic Solution lowers IOP in patients with ocular hypertension, helping to prevent vision loss, manage eye health, and reduce the risk of glaucoma development.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instill the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Brimo Ophthalmic Solution is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
• Avoid touching the dropper's tip to avoid contamination.
• Discard the solution, if it becomes cloudy or dark brown.
