About Callem-CD Tablet
Callem-CD Tablet is a nutritional supplement primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions, such as vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (characterised by weak bones), latent tetany (a muscle disease associated with low blood calcium levels), and rickets or osteomalacia (a condition characterised by softening of bones due to low calcium levels).
Callem-CD Tablet contains Calcium citrate malate and Vitamin D3. Callem-CD Tablet works by increasing calcium and vitamin D levels in the body, thereby supporting the essential functions necessary for bone formation and maintenance. Together, they help prevent bone loss, support bone growth, and reduce muscle cramps caused by low calcium levels.
Callem-CD Tablet is likely safe to consume. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, weakness, tiredness, and headache. - Avoid taking Callem-CD Tablet if you are allergic to it.
- It may contain sugar or aspartame. Hence, caution should be taken in managing diabetes and phenylketonuria (a condition characterised by increased levels of an amino acid called phenylalanine).
- Inform your doctor if you have any history of hypercalcemia (increased calcium levels in the body), kidney disease, liver disease, electrolyte imbalance, heart disease, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D) before taking Callem-CD Tablet .
- Higher doses of Vitamin D than the recommended daily dose should be used in pregnant women only when advised by the doctor.

Callem-CD Tablet is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who cannot get sufficient calcium from their diets. It effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, such as osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), osteomalacia/rickets (weak bones), hypoparathyroidism (low levels of parathyroid hormone), and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels).
Callem-CD Tablet contains Calcium citrate malate and Cholecalciferol. Calcium citrate malate is a calcium supplement used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Cholecalciferol is vitamin D3 that helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorous. Thereby, it increases calcium levels in the blood and helps to build and maintain strong bones.
You are not recommended to take Callem-CD Tablet if you have hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels in the blood), as it may worsen the condition. However, please consult a doctor before using Callem-CD Tablet .
Callem-CD Tablet is not recommended for patients with malabsorption (inefficient absorption of nutrients from the bowel) syndrome. Please consult a doctor before using Callem-CD Tablet if you have malabsorption syndrome.
It is not recommended to take Callem-CD Tablet with levothyroxine, as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of at least 4 hours between taking Callem-CD Tablet and levothyroxine.
Callem-CD Tablet is not recommended for a patient suffering from kidney stones, as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, if you have any kidney problems or have a history of kidney stones, please inform your doctor before taking Callem-CD Tablet .
