About Calmpax-P Tablet 10's

Calmpax-P Tablet 10's combines two prescription medicines that may be used together in selected patients to manage anxiety-related symptoms and panic attacks. Depending on the prescribed product, clonazepam and propranolol may be supplied separately or, where locally available, as a fixed-dose combination. This treatment is intended to address both emotional symptoms, such as intense fear and nervous tension, and physical symptoms, such as trembling and a racing heartbeat.

Take the medicine exactly as prescribed and at consistent times each day. It may be taken with or without food, depending on the instructions for your specific product. Do not change the dose, take extra doses, or continue treatment longer than advised without consulting your doctor.

The clonazepam component can cause tolerance and physical dependence, particularly with prolonged use or higher doses. If the treatment seems less effective over time, do not increase the dose on your own. Abrupt discontinuation can cause medically dangerous withdrawal symptoms, including seizures, so any dose reduction should be supervised by your doctor.

Common side effects may include drowsiness, tiredness, dry mouth, dizziness, or cold hands and feet. Contact your doctor if these effects persist, worsen, or interfere with daily activities. Seek emergency medical help for severe breathing difficulty, fainting, swelling of the face or throat, or other rapidly worsening symptoms.

Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have asthma or another breathing disorder, myasthenia gravis, liver disease, severe circulation problems, or a heart condition. This treatment may not be suitable for people with severe asthma, certain serious breathing disorders, an abnormally slow heart rate, specific heart conduction disorders, or a known allergy to either medicine or any ingredient in the prescribed product.

Avoid alcohol during treatment because it can greatly increase drowsiness, poor coordination, and slowed breathing. Tell your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take, especially sleeping medicines, opioid pain relievers, muscle relaxants, and other treatments that affect heart rate or blood pressure. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, breastfeeding, or an older adult, discuss the potential risks and appropriate monitoring with your doctor before use.

  • Panic attacks: It helps prevent and control sudden, overwhelming episodes of panic, reducing the physical and emotional distress associated with them.

Key Benefits

Calmpax-P Tablet 10's helps manage anxiety-related symptoms by addressing both emotional distress and physical responses such as a racing heartbeat and trembling.

  • Reduces Anxiety Symptoms: CLONAZEPAM helps calm excessive nervous activity in the brain, which may reduce intense anxiety, restlessness, and feelings of panic.
  • Controls Physical Symptoms: PROPRANOLOL helps reduce physical signs of anxiety, such as a fast heartbeat, trembling, sweating, and shakiness.

How Calmpax-P Tablet 10's Works

Calmpax-P Tablet 10's contains two medicines that act through different pathways. CLONAZEPAM increases the effect of GABA, a natural chemical messenger that reduces excessive nerve activity in the brain. This calming action may help relieve intense anxiety, panic, nervous tension, and hyper-alertness. PROPRANOLOL is a beta-blocker that reduces the body's response to adrenaline during stress. This helps control physical symptoms such as a racing heartbeat, trembling, sweating, and shakiness. It can also slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure, so these effects may require monitoring during treatment. Together, the two components may help manage both psychological and physical symptoms of anxiety when prescribed for an appropriate patient.
