About CCM Tablet

CCM Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called nutritional supplements, which are used to treat nutritional deficiencies, such as calcium and vitamin D deficiency. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb/get enough nutrients from food. Nutrients are necessary for body development and the prevention of diseases.

CCM Tablet is a combination of three supplements: Calcium citrate, cholecalciferol, and Folic acid. Calcium makes bones stronger by increasing their density. It helps in treating and preventing low calcium levels. Cholecalciferol helps in the absorption of calcium. Folic acid helps in the production and maintenance of new blood cells. Together, CCM Tablet helps in treating nutritional deficiencies.

You are advised to take CCM Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as stomach pain, constipation, muscle weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Include calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products (milk, yoghurt, cheese), leafy greens (spinach, kale), and calcium-fortified cereals, to support bone health.
  • Expose your skin to sunlight for 10–30 minutes daily, as it helps the body naturally produce vitamin D, which is essential for calcium absorption.
  • Avoid taking additional calcium or vitamin D supplements unless suggested, especially if you have kidney problems, to prevent high calcium levels.
  • Limit intake of salty foods, caffeinated drinks, and soft drinks, as they can reduce calcium absorption and increase calcium loss through urine.
  • Eat a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to improve your overall nutritional status.
  • Avoid alcohol and tobacco, as they can interfere with the body’s ability to absorb calcium and vitamin D and may weaken bones.
  • Engage in regular weight-bearing exercises, such as walking, jogging, or resistance training, to help maintain bone density and strength.
  • Stay well-hydrated by drinking enough water daily, which helps your kidneys process nutrients and prevents complications like kidney stones.
  • Monitor your health for symptoms such as constipation, nausea, confusion, or muscle weakness, which may indicate high calcium levels. Report these symptoms to your doctor.
  • Take CCM Tablet exactly as suggested, ideally with meals to enhance absorption and reduce the chance of stomach discomfort.
