Cdvik Syrup 100 ml belongs to a class of medication called 'cough and cold preparations' primarily used to treat dry cough. Cdvik Syrup 100 ml is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorpheniramine (antihistamine), Dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), and Menthol. Chlorpheniramine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Dextromethorphan works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Menthol is an organic compound that produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Collectively, it helps to provide relief from dry cough.

Take Cdvik Syrup 100 ml with or without food as advised by your doctor with the help of a measuring cup. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Cdvik Syrup 100 ml based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, headache, loss of appetite, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), skin rash, itching, sleepiness.
