About Cefpovin Dry Syrup

Cefpovin Dry Syrup belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections occur when harmful bacteria multiply inside or on the body. Cefpovin Dry Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Cefpovin Dry Syrup contains Cefpodoxime proxetil, which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Cefpovin Dry Syrup works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Cefpovin Dry Syrup kills bacteria and helps treat bacterial infections.

In some cases, Cefpovin Dry Syrup may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
