Celnalid 5mg Tablet

Celnalid 5mg Tablet is used to treat cancers such as multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, mantle cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma. It contains lenalidomide, which works by stimulating the immune system to attack the cancer cells. It also kills the abnormal cells in the bone marrow and helps the bone marrow to produce normal blood cells. About Celnalid 5mg Tablet

Celnalid 5mg Tablet is used to treat multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, deletion 5q MDS, mantle cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells that causes abnormal antibody production and bone damage.

Celnalid 5mg Tablet contains ‘lenalidomide’, which works by helping the body’s immune system and directly attacks cancer.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as fatigue, constipation, diarrhoea, muscle cramps, nausea, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Talk with your doctor if you experience any of these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Celnalid 5mg Tablet or any of its components. Avoid taking Celnalid 5mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Celnalid 5mg Tablet may cause dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, and blurred vision, so drive only if you are alert. Men and women taking Celnalid 5mg Tablet must use effective contraception.

  • Treatment of multiple myeloma: Celnalid 5mg Tablet is used in combination with other medicines to treat patients with multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells.
  • Management of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS): Celnalid 5mg Tablet is effective in treating certain types of MDS, a group of disorders caused by poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells.
  • Treatment of mantle cell lymphoma: Celnalid 5mg Tablet is used to manage mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
  • Treatment of follicular lymphoma: Celnalid 5mg Tablet may be used in adults with follicular lymphoma, a slow-growing type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, especially after prior treatment failure.

What if you forget to take Celnalid 5mg Tablet

During sexual activity with females of reproductive potential, always use effective contraception such as latex or synthetic condom while taking Celnalid 5mg Tablet and for at least 4weeks after discontinuing Celnalid 5mg Tablet, even if you have undergone a successful vasectomy. People with multiple myeloma taking Celnalid 5mg Tablet may have an increased risk for blood clots in veins, arteries, and lungs. The risk is even higher if you are taking dexamethasone with Celnalid 5mg Tablet for treating multiple myeloma. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling in the legs or arm.
Celnalid 5mg Tablet might cause neutropenia (low white blood cells) or thrombocytopenia (low platelets). Blood count should be checked regularly during treatment with Celnalid 5mg Tablet.
