Kabilen 5 mg Tablet is used to treat multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, deletion 5q MDS, mantle cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells that causes abnormal antibody production and bone damage.
Kabilen 5 mg Tablet contains ‘lenalidomide’, which works by helping the body’s immune system and directly attacks cancer.
In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as fatigue, constipation, diarrhoea, muscle cramps, nausea, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Talk with your doctor if you experience any of these side effects persistently.

Kabilen 5 mg Tablet works by helping the body immune system and directly attacks cancer. It stops the development of cancer cells, stops the blood vessels growing in cancer, and stimulates the part of the immune system to attack the cancer cells.
Do not stop taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet on your own. You are advised to take Kabilen 5 mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. No, it is not safe to father a child while taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet . Kabilen 5 mg Tablet can pass into human semen. During sexual activity with females of reproductive potential, always use effective contraception such as latex or synthetic condom while taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet and for at least 4weeks after discontinuing Kabilen 5 mg Tablet , even if you have undergone a successful vasectomy. Male patients taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet must not donate semen whilst taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet and for 4weeks after discontinuing Kabilen 5 mg Tablet .
Patients taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet must not donate blood during the treatment with Kabilen 5 mg Tablet and for 1month after discontinuation of Kabilen 5 mg Tablet as the donated blood might be given to pregnant women whose foetus should not be exposed to Kabilen 5 mg Tablet since it causes severe birth defects.
People with multiple myeloma taking Kabilen 5 mg Tablet may have an increased risk for blood clots in veins, arteries, and lungs. The risk is even higher if you are taking dexamethasone with Kabilen 5 mg Tablet for treating multiple myeloma. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling in the legs or arm.
Kabilen 5 mg Tablet might cause neutropenia (low white blood cells) or thrombocytopenia (low platelets). Blood count should be checked regularly during treatment with Kabilen 5 mg Tablet .
