• Treatment of Bacterial Infections: Chilclav 625 Tab is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including those of the ear, nose, throat, skin, bone, soft tissue, joints, urinary tract, and respiratory tract. It works by preventing the growth of bacteria and helping to clear infections.
• Restoring Gut Flora: Chilclav 625 Tab contains Lactic Acid Bacillus, a probiotic that helps restore the balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut. This is especially important during or after antibiotic therapy to prevent disruptions in the gut flora, which can lead to issues like antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

Chilclav 625 Tab is a combination of three drugs, namely: Amoxycillin, Clavulanic acid, and Lactic acid bacillus. Chilclav 625 Tab belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics. Chilclav 625 Tab is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, bone, soft tissue, joints, urinary tract, and respiratory tract. Chilclav 625 Tab may also be used to treat infectious diarrhoea. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, it kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of amoxycillin against the bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have been upset due to the infection. Together, Chilclav 625 Tab helps in treating bacterial infections. Chilclav 625 Tab is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

• Take Chilclav 625 Tab exactly as directed by your doctor, with or without food, and swallow it whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the medication, as this may affect its effectiveness.
• Completing the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve, is important to ensure the infection is fully cleared and to prevent resistance.

• Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
• Eat fibre rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol.
• Avoid usage of tobacco.

Do not take Chilclav 625 Tab if you are allergic to any of the contents or if you have jaundice. Inform your doctor if you have glandular fever, inflammation of the intestine, fits, liver/kidney problems or if you are unable to pass urine regularly.
