Stopping treatment too early may allow the infection to return because the fungus may not have been completely eliminated. The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. In general, treatment is continued for about 1 month for tinea infections and at least 15 days for Candida infections.

Continue using the medicine for the full duration recommended by your doctor, even if you start feeling better. If your skin shows no improvement after 2 to 4 weeks of regular use, or if the infection worsens, stop using the medicine and consult your doctor.
Closan DS 2% Cream is safe for children only if used as advised by the doctor. Although minor side effects may occur, they are often not troublesome. However, if your child develops redness, burning sensation, and itching (which is severe in nature), stop using Closan DS 2% Cream and consult your doctor.
Avoid rubbing the affected areas too much and keep them clean and dry. Although, itching may want you to scratch, avoid scratching as it will damage the skin’s surface and cause the infection to spread further.
