About Concor T 5 Tablet

Concor T 5 Tablet is an antihypertensive medicine used to treat hypertension. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery wall is high. As a result, it leads to heart problems, irregular heartbeat, and other complications.

Concor T 5 Tablet contains Bisoprolol and telmisartan. Bisoprolol is a beta blocker that acts directly on the heart to lower blood pressure and heart rate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). It relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting the angiotensin hormone. When combined, they improve the heart's pumping efficiency and blood flow.

Concor T 5 Tablet may cause certain side effects like headache, feeling exhausted, sore back, diarrhoea, congested feeling, and swollen ankles that usually resolve after some time. Prolonged intake of Concor T 5 Tablet may lead to a lowering of blood pressure. Take Concor T 5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take Concor T 5 Tablet if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your medical history and current medication, including herbs and supplements, before starting the treatment with Concor T 5 Tablet . What if I have taken an overdose of Concor T 5 Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Concor T 5 Tablet may include fainting, fast or slow heartbeat, difficulty breathing, dizziness and trembling. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Discontinue the medicine and inform your doctor if you observe any adverse reactions during the treatment or have any previous allergic history to any of its components. It is advised not to stop taking Concor T 5 Tablet without talking to your doctor first. Concor T 5 Tablet is not recommended for you in patients with a very slow heartbeat, asthma, serious heart condition (sick sinus syndrome), or any heart blockage. Before taking Concor T 5 Tablet let your doctor know if you have any muscle disorder (myasthenia gravis, rhabdomyolysis), low blood sugar level, low blood pressure (hypotension), depression, previous heart failure, liver/kidney disease. Concor T 5 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12. Avoid driving and operating machines if you feel tired or dizzy.
