Dacilon 0.5 mg Injection belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics indicated in the treatment of Wilms' tumour (kidney cancer), rhabdomyosarcoma (muscle cancer), Ewing's sarcoma (bone cancer), melanoma (skin cancer), and cancer of the uterus and testis.

Dacilon 0.5 mg Injection contains Dactinomycin, which works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. It prevents the reproduction of abnormal cells associated with cancer. Thereby, it helps treat cancer.

In some cases, Dacilon 0.5 mg Injection may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and fever. • Manage rhabdomyosarcoma: Dacilon 0.5 mg Injection is used to treat soft tissue cancers in children by interfering with cancer cell replication and enhancing the effects of other chemotherapeutic agents.
• Treat Ewing’s sarcoma: Dacilon 0.5 mg Injection is included in multi-phase chemotherapy regimens for this bone and soft tissue cancer, improving survival outcomes.
