Debrifine Ointment is used to remove dead or damaged tissue from wounds, helping create a clean environment that supports healing. It is commonly used for:

• Chronic skin ulcers: Debrifine Ointment helps by gently breaking down and removing dead or decayed tissue from pressure sores, diabetic foot ulcers, and leg ulcers caused by poor blood flow.
• Severe burns: It assists in clearing away damaged skin and cellular debris from burn wounds, keeping the area clean to encourage healthy tissue regrowth.
• Postoperative wounds: It is used to clean surgical wounds that are slow to heal, preventing the buildup of crusts and promoting a clean wound bed.

Debrifine Ointment helps clean wounds by removing dead tissue while supporting the natural healing process. Its benefits include:

• It is advised to apply Debrifine Ointment 1 to 2 times daily; however, follow your doctor's recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.
• Apply a generous amount of Debrifine Ointment and spread it evenly on the affected areas of the skin to form a 1/8-inch thick layer with clean and dry hands. You can also apply Debrifine Ointment with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab.
• Wash your hands before and after using Debrifine Ointment on the affected areas unless the treatment is for the hands.

• Increase protein intake: Eat foods rich in protein, such as lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, tofu, and beans, to provide the building blocks your body needs to rebuild skin tissue.
• Stay well-hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, as hydrated skin heals much faster and maintains better elasticity.
• Boost vitamins C and zinc: Include foods like citrus fruits, berries, leafy greens, and nuts in your diet, which support collagen production and immune function.
• Manage underlying conditions: If you have diabetes or circulation issues, keep your blood sugar levels controlled and follow your doctor's advice on improving circulation, as this directly impacts wound healing speed.
• Avoid pressure on the wound: Keep pressure off the affected area (especially for pressure sores) by changing positions frequently or using supportive cushions.

• Check the Expiry Date: Always check the expiry date before use and do not use the medicine if it has expired.
• Avoid Contact with Eyes and Mouth: Do not allow Debrifine Ointment to come into contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
• Avoid Incompatible Wound Products: Do not use hydrogen peroxide or dressings containing heavy metals, such as silver, on the same wound unless advised by your doctor, as they may reduce the activity of Debrifine Ointment.
• Monitor the Wound: Check the wound regularly for increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus, worsening pain, or other signs of infection, and contact your doctor if these occur.
• Maintain Good Wound Hygiene: Apply Debrifine Ointment with clean hands or sterile applicators and use sterile dressings as instructed to help reduce the risk of contamination.
