Dependal M Syrup contains furazolidone and metronidazole. Furazolidone works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is important for the survival of bacteria. Metronidazole kills bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Collectively, Dependal M Syrup helps treat infections.
Your doctor will recommend how often you need to give Dependal M Syrup to your child based on their medical condition. Your child may experience fever, nausea, headache, a metallic taste, and discolouration of urine. Most of these side effects of Dependal M Syrup do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not give Dependal M Syrup if your child is allergic to any of the ingredients present in it. Please inform your doctor if your child has/had liver or kidney impairment, colitis, blood dyscrasias, neurologic toxicity, or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) deficiency. Let the doctor know if your child is taking any other medications or has any pre-existing medical conditions.
