Dermowen Cream is a topical prescription medicine used to treat certain inflamed skin conditions complicated by susceptible bacterial or fungal infections. It contains betamethasone, which reduces inflammation; clotrimazole, which treats fungal infections; and gentamicin, which acts against susceptible bacteria.
By targeting infection and inflammation at the same time, Dermowen Cream may help relieve redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort while treating susceptible bacteria and fungi affecting the skin.
Apply Dermowen Cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Use a thin layer on the affected area and follow the recommended frequency and duration of treatment. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and other sensitive areas, and do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless advised by your doctor.
Some people may experience temporary burning, stinging, itching, or redness at the application site. Contact your doctor if irritation persists or worsens, or if you notice blistering, skin thinning, or signs of an allergic reaction. Tell your doctor before use if you have a viral skin infection, such as chickenpox or shingles, tuberculosis affecting the skin, or thin or damaged skin, as this medicine may not be suitable for certain skin conditions.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Dermowen Cream. Use in children should be guided by a doctor, as children may absorb proportionally larger amounts of topical corticosteroids through the skin and may require closer monitoring. Older adults may also require additional care, particularly when treating thin or fragile skin.
