About Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml
Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml belongs to a class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) or pain killers used to treat pain, including musculoskeletal pain (pain in the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves), gout attacks, pain caused by kidney stones, pain caused by injuries, fractures or trauma. On the other hand, it may also be used to prevent or treat post-operative pain.
Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml contains Diclofenac (analgesic) and Paracetamol (fever reducer/mild analgesic). Diclofenac works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger known as cyclooxygenase (COX), which causes pain and swelling at the injured or damaged tissue site. On the other hand, paracetamol acts as a mild analgesic (mild pain reducer) which enhances the pain relief action of Diclofenac.
Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml may cause common side effects such as headache, dizziness, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, flatulence, decreased appetite, and injection site reactions such as local pain and induration. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any components in Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml. Let your doctor know if you have/had liver or kidney problems; your doctor may need to monitor your liver function. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant, plan to have a baby or if you are breastfeeding. Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml may cause dizziness and loss of balance. If you experience these, you should not drive or operate machinery. Dik-Plus Injection 2 ml is not recommended for use in children less than 14 years of age.
