About Donyx 25 Tablet

Donyx 25 Tablet belongs to the class of medicines called sedating antihistamines indicated in the short-term treatment of insomnia. It is also used in combination with other medicines and decongestants to relieve symptoms of the common cold, hay fever, and allergy. Donyx 25 Tablet may also be used to treat travel sickness.

Donyx 25 Tablet contains Doxylamine, which works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance that causes allergy symptoms. Thereby, Donyx 25 Tablet helps treats symptoms of the common cold. Donyx 25 Tablet causes the central nervous system to slow down; this helps provide relief from insomnia.

Directions for Use

Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Donyx 25 Tablet may include dizziness, dry mouth, enlarged pupils, irregular heartbeat or pulse, lightheadedness, mental confusion, palpitations, restlessness, sensation of spinning or feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings, and sleepiness. Taking Donyx 25 Tablet with tranylcypromine can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome(a condition in which a chemical called serotonin increase in your body).

How to manage the interaction:
There may be a possibility of interaction between Donyx 25 Tablet and Tranylcypromine, but can be taken together if prescribed by a doctor. However, consult a doctor if you experience confusion, hallucination(seeing and hearing things that do not exist), fits, blood pressure alteration, increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, shivering or shaking, blurred vision, pain in the muscles or stiffness, incoordination, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
