• Avoid dairy and calcium-rich foods: Do not consume milk, cheese, yoghurt, calcium-fortified juices, or calcium supplements within 2 hours of taking your dose, as calcium binds to the antibiotic and prevents your body from absorbing it properly.
• Wear sunscreen and protective clothing: This medication makes your skin highly sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and wear protective clothing when outdoors to avoid severe sunburns. Avoid tanning beds.
• Stay highly hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help flush the medication safely through your system and reduce irritation in your stomach and throat.
