Dutoid Capsule

Dutoid Capsule is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (overgrowth of the prostate gland, a gland situated between the bladder and penis). Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common illness as men get older. It can cause unpleasant urinary symptoms, such as preventing the urine from flowing out of the bladder.

Dutoid Capsule contains dutasteride, which blocks an enzyme that is needed to change testosterone (male hormone) to another hormone that causes the growth of the prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis).

You may experience side effects like low sexual desire, allergic reaction, and impotence (inability to get and keep an erection firm sufficient for sex.). Most of these side effects gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Before starting Dutoid Capsule, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy to any part of Dutoid Capsule. If you have severe liver disease, then inform your doctor while taking Dutoid Capsule. This Dutoid Capsule is used for men only. If you are a woman using Dutoid Capsule, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan on getting pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

• Treats Enlarged Prostate (BPH): Dutoid Capsule works by shrinking the enlarged prostate gland, improving urine flow, and relieving symptoms such as difficulty in urination, weak stream, and frequent urination.
• Prevents Disease Progression: Dutoid Capsule helps to lower the risk of acute urinary retention (sudden inability to urinate) and may reduce the need for prostate surgery in men with BPH.

• Dutoid Capsule can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• It is usually taken once a day or as directed by the doctor.
• Swallow Dutoid Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or break it.

• Dutoid Capsule belongs to a class of drugs known as 5-alpha reductase inhibitors primarily used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.
• It blocks an enzyme that is needed to change testosterone (male hormone) to another hormone that causes the growth of the prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis).
• As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis) and reduce the symptoms like problems in passing urine.

• Do not use it for women because Dutoid Capsule is not approved for women.

• Do not donate blood while you are taking this Dutoid Capsule and for at least six months after you stop taking it.
• Do not stop taking Dutoid Capsule without informing your doctor first.
• You may take up to 6 months or more to observe an effect.
• Dutoid Capsule is not recommended for the child. Therefore, do not give Dutoid Capsule to the children.
