Muscle spasm is the sudden painful and involuntary muscle contractions, which occur when the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted. It is characterized by muscle tightness, joint stiffness, unusual posture, difficulty moving, and pain in affected muscles and joints.

Epiday Tablet 10's is a combination of two drugs: Eperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Eperisone works by relaxing skeletal muscles and reducing myotonia (inability of muscles to relax). It can relax vascular smooth muscles (smooth muscle found in the wall of blood vessels) and improve blood circulation. It can also suppress pain reflexes. These effects of Epiday Tablet 10's help to reduce pain and spasms in the muscle effectively. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Collectively, Epiday Tablet 10's helps to reduce pain and spasms in the muscle effectively.

You should take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The common side effects of Epiday Tablet 10's are nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache, weakness, drowsiness, and dizziness. Most of these side effects are mild and temporary. However, inform your doctor immediately if any of these side effects persist or get worse.
