Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm is an antibiotic used to treat or prevent bladder infections. Bladder infection is mostly caused by a bacterial infection within the bladder. Bacteria enter through the urethra, move into the bladder and cause infections.

Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm contains Fosfomycin, which inhibits the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for survival. Thus, it kills bacteria. Also, Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm decreases the attachment of bacteria to cells lining the urinary bladder, thereby preventing bladder infection caused by E.coli bacteria. 

Take Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, indigestion, and vulvovaginitis (swelling or infection of the vulva and vagina) as side effects of Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm, some sugars or other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm. Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney problems and patients undergoing hemodialysis (a process of purifying blood by filtering out extra fluids and wastes when kidneys are not working). If you previously had diarrhoea caused by other antibiotics, inform your doctor before taking Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm.

• Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor. • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety. • Swallow Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm as a whole with a glass of water. • Do not chew, crush or break it.

Additionally, Erafos 3gm Sachet 8gm inhibits bacterial attachment to cells lining the urinary bladder, preventing bladder infection caused by E.coli bacteria.
