Eslomet 2.5 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Also, Eslomet 2.5 Tablet is used to treat chest pain and irregular heart rhythm. Eslomet 2.5 Tablet is a combination of two drugs: S-amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) and S-metoprolol (beta-blocker). S-amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by acting on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes the muscle. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. S-metoprolol belongs to the beta-blockers class, which works by blocking beta receptors in the heart and making the heartbeat slow and with less force.
