It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, tinea versicolor (which causes light or dark patches on the skin), and inflammatory skin disorders, including eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis (characterized by itchy, dry, or inflamed skin). Eczema is characterised by red, itchy, and cracked patches, while psoriasis involves the rapid buildup of skin cells, forming thick, scaly plaques. Fungal infections occur when fungi invade the skin, leading to symptoms such as redness, itching, and scaling.

Etaze AF Solution contains two active ingredients: Mometasone (a corticosteroid) and Terbinafine (an antifungal). Mometasone works by blocking the release of inflammatory substances, such as prostaglandins, which helps reduce swelling, redness, and itching associated with eczema and psoriasis. Terbinafine combats fungal infections by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, ultimately causing the fungal cells to die. This dual action makes Etaze AF Solution effective for both inflammatory and fungal skin conditions.

Common side effects of Etaze AF Solution include skin irritation, redness, dryness, peeling, itching, or a burning sensation at the application site. These effects are usually mild and temporary. However, inform your doctor if you experience more serious side effects such as rash, headache, swelling, skin thinning, nausea, or vomiting. Always use the medication as prescribed and for the duration recommended by your doctor to minimize risks.

Etaze AF Solution is meant for topical use only. Avoid using it on sensitive areas such as the eyes, lips, nostrils, ears, or genitals unless directed by a doctor. Etaze AF Solution is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.
