About Floricot Tablet

Floricot Tablet is used to treat salt-losing (adrenal insufficiency) and Addison's disease (primary adrenal insufficiency). Addison's disease is a chronic disease that happens when the adrenal cortex is damaged and does not remain able to produce steroid hormones cortisol and aldosterone.

Floricot Tablet contains fludrocortisone, which helps control salt and fluid levels in the body. It reduces excess sodium loss in the urine, especially in conditions like Addison’s disease (adrenal hormone deficiency). This helps maintain proper fluid balance and blood pressure.

Take Floricot Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Common side effects include stomach upset, menstrual changes, mood changes, weight gain, and oral thrush  (prone to fungal infection). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Keep your physician informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any adverse effects/interactions. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or a breastfeeding mother, inform your doctor before starting Floricot Tablet . Floricot Tablet should be given to children only if prescribed by your doctor.
