About Flubi Eye Drops
Flubi Eye Drops belongs to the class of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to prevent the pupil from narrowing or constricting during eye surgery. Also, Flubi Eye Drops is used to treat postoperative pain and swelling of the eye.
Flubi Eye Drops is a combination of two drugs, namely: Flurbiprofen (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and Hypromellose (eye lubricant). Flurbiprofen works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body involved in producing certain chemical substances such as prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving pain and swelling after eye surgeries. Hypromellose works by forming a lubricating, transparent, and moistening film on the cornea (surface of the eye) and artificial tears. Thereby, it provides a soothing effect and relieves irritation and dryness caused by decreased tear flow.
Use Flubi Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. Flubi Eye Drops is only for use in eyes. - Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
