About FLURBIPROFEN+HYPROMELLOSE

FLURBIPROFEN+HYPROMELLOSE belongs to the class of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to prevent the pupil from narrowing or constricting during eye surgery. Also, FLURBIPROFEN+HYPROMELLOSE is used to treat postoperative pain and swelling of the eye.

FLURBIPROFEN+HYPROMELLOSE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Flurbiprofen (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and Hypromellose (eye lubricant). Hypromellose works by forming a lubricating, transparent, and moistening film on the cornea (surface of the eye) and artificial tears. Thereby, it provides a soothing effect and relieves irritation and dryness caused by decreased tear flow.
