About Fosbait 500 Tablet

Fosbait 500 Tablet belongs to a group of medications called 'phosphate binder' (which decreases the level of phosphate in the body). It is primarily used to control high phosphate levels in the body (hyperphosphataemia) in adult patients, who are on dialysis (a blood clearance technique), patients undergoing hemodialysis (using a blood filtration machine) and patients with lifelong kidney disease. It is also used for the treatment of bone disease.

Fosbait 500 Tablet contains 'Lanthanum,' which reduces phosphate absorption by binding phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract and decreasing absorption. It makes insoluble complexes in the GI tract that pass through the body without any absorption. It effectively reduces excess phosphate levels in the blood and prevents the unsafe build-up of phosphate in the body. It helps to keep bones strong and decreases the risk of heart disease and strokes.

Take Fosbait 500 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are suggested to take $ame as long as your doctor has prescribed it after checking your medical condition. A person taking Fosbait 500 Tablet often experiences side effects that include vomiting, upper abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach ache, indigestion, and flatulence. However, not every person faces the side effects of Fosbait 500 Tablet , and even some of the unpleasant effects of Fosbait 500 Tablet do not require medical attention. How Fosbait 500 Tablet Works

When you eat, your food contains phosphorus, which is absorbed into your bloodstream through your stomach and intestines. Because damaged kidneys cannot filter out this extra phosphorus, it builds up to dangerous levels in the body. Fosbait 500 Tablet contains lanthanum, which works directly in your digestive system as a chemical magnet. When taken with a meal, it binds tightly to the phosphorus in your food, forming an insoluble compound. Because this compound cannot be absorbed by your digestive tract, it passes safely out of your system through your bowel movements, effectively lowering the amount of phosphorus that enters your blood.
