Galenvor Tablet is used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast. A fungal infection is caused when a fungus invades and affects any part of the body, including the mouth, throat, oesophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area and blood.

Galenvor Tablet contains ‘Voriconazole’ that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi which interferes with the fungal cell membrane's formation.

In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as vomiting, headache, nausea, abnormal liver function tests, rash, slow heart rate, and altered vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Galenvor Tablet if you have had an allergic reaction to Galenvor Tablet or any of its ingredients. Galenvor Tablet is associated with liver toxicity, including fatalities in patients with other serious underlying diseases. Galenvor Tablet is a pregnancy category D drug, so it should not be taken by breastfeeding or pregnant women. Antacid should be taken at 2 hours after taking Galenvor Tablet.

Galenvor Tablet is used to treat fungal infections. The detailed uses of Galenvor Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of fungal infections: Galenvor Tablet helps treat serious fungal infections by preventing fungal growth. It is often prescribed for people with weakened immune systems.
• Invasive Aspergillosis: Galenvor Tablet treats infections caused by Aspergillus fungi.
• Candidemia: Galenvor Tablet helps with bloodstream infections caused by Candida species.
• Oesophagal Candidiasis: Galenvor Tablet is effective against fungal infections in the oesophagus.
• Other Severe Fungal Infections: Galenvor Tablet is used for Fusarium and Scedosporium infections.

• Galenvor Tablet can be taken 1 hour before or 1 hour after meals.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Measure the prescribed dose using the measuring cup provided by the pack and administer it orally.
• Shake the bottle well before use. Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not measure the dose correctly.

• If you are suffering from liver disease, the doctor will lower the dose, and a regular liver function test will be done.
• Galenvor Tablet is a pregnancy category D drug, so it should not be taken by breastfeeding and pregnant women.
• If you are suffering from a heart problem like an irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate or abnormality in ECG (electrocardiogram), please inform your doctor before starting Galenvor Tablet.
• Exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Galenvor Tablet as it makes you sensitive to the sun's UV rays, or use a high sun protection factor (SPF) while going out.
• Antacids should be taken 2 hours after taking Galenvor Tablet.
