Ginlac-V Vaginal Tablet belongs to a class of medication called anti-infectives used for the syndromic treatment of vaginal infections. Vaginal infections can cause vaginal discharge, discomfort, and vaginal odour. However, these symptoms do not necessarily indicate an infection. Instead, they may result from other conditions that affect the vagina.
Ginlac-V Vaginal Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Clotrimazole (antifungal), Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Tinidazole (antiprotozoal). Clotrimazole is an antifungal that stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a live microorganism that maintains the vagina in a healthy condition by producing anti-infectious substances. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Thereby, kills micro-organisms and clears the infection.
