Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup is used in the treatment of Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cough with mucus. The detailed uses of Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup are as follows:

• Productive Cough with Mucus: Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup is used to relieve wet or chesty coughs in children. It helps loosen and expel thick mucus from the lungs and airways, making breathing easier and reducing chest congestion.
• Bronchitis and Bronchial Asthma: Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup is effective in managing bronchospasm and wheezing associated with bronchitis or asthma. It acts as a bronchodilator, relaxing airway muscles and improving airflow.
• and Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup helps treat infections that cause excessive mucus production and airway inflammation. It thins the mucus, while also increases its clearance, aiding in symptom relief.

Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup contains Levosalbutamol sulphate, Ambroxol hydrochloride and Guaiphenesin, used to treat cough associated with mucus. Levosalbutamol sulphate is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Ambroxol hydrochloride is a mucolytic drug that thins and loosens phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. It also thins and softens coughs and sputum, facilitating simple coughing out as a result. Guaiphenesin belongs to the class of expectorants that works by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reducing the stickiness of mucus, and helping to remove it from the airways.

• Avoid dairy products such as milk as it may increase mucus production. Also, avoid processed or refined foods. Instead, replace baked foods, fried foods, white bread, white pasta, French fries, sugary desserts and chips with green leafy vegetables.
• Give your child plenty of fluids to avoid a dry throat while he or she has a cough. It also helps loosen mucus.
• Avoid citrus fruits as they may worsen the cough. Give fruits rich in water content, such as pears, watermelon, peaches and pineapples to your child.
• Avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, etc. Certain food items are known to cause allergies to your child.

Do not use Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup if your child is allergic to any of the ingredients in Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup. If your child is suffering from fits or has a history of fits, please inform your doctor before using this medicine, as it may increase the risk of recurrent fits. If your child is diagnosed with diabetes, fits, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, stomach ulcers, phenylketonuria (a birth defect that causes accumulation of amino acid, phenylalanine in the body), kidney, liver or heart problems, inform your doctor before giving Ibikof-LS Cherry Syrup to your child.
