Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's can suppress the immune system and can increase the risk of skin cancer. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Also, wear protective clothing that covers your head, neck, arms, and legs, and use a sunscreen lotion with a high SPF (sun protection factor).
Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's can suppress the immune system. So, you should not donate blood while using Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's and at least 60 days after stopping treatment, as it makes you more prone to infections. Besides, men should not donate sperm while using Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's for at least 90 days after stopping the treatment.
It is not advised to get pregnant while using Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's, as it may cause birth defects/congenital disabilities in the unborn baby. So, it would help if you took an effective and reliable contraceptive while using Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's, even when men are taking Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's.
Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's is given to stop rejection of the transplanted organ. If you abruptly stop taking this drug, it might result in rejection of the transplanted organ. So, check with your doctor if you want to stop using Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's.
Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's may increase the risk of skin cancer as it reduces the body’s defences. Limit the amount of sunlight and UV light, wear protective clothing and use sunscreen with high SPF.

Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, consult your doctor right away if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
Because Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's lowers your body's ability to fight off viruses and bacteria, even a mild fever can be a sign of a serious infection. Contact your doctor or transplant team immediately if your temperature rises. Talk to your doctor.
You should avoid taking antacids that contain magnesium or aluminium at the same time as Icotyl-500 Tablet 10's, as they can prevent your body from absorbing the medicine. If you need an antacid, take it at least two hours after your dose. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
You can safely receive the inactive (injected) flu shot, but you must avoid the live nasal spray flu vaccine. Always tell the healthcare provider giving you the vaccine that you are taking an immunosuppressant. Talk to your doctor.
