Isozyl Tablet 10's

Isozyl Tablet 10's belongs to a group of medicines called vasodilators used to treat heart failure. Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle does not pump blood normally, including shortness of breath, swollen legs, fatigue and increased heartbeat.

Isozyl Tablet 10's contains Isosorbide dinitrate and Hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate relaxes the heart's muscles and widens the heart's veins and arteries for easy flow of blood to every part of the body. Hydralazine helps lower raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart's muscles.

In some cases, Isozyl Tablet 10's can cause side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness, and lightheadedness. Most of these side effects of Isozyl Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Isozyl Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Isozyl Tablet 10's, let your doctor know if you have had a heart attack within the last 30 days, low blood pressure, stroke (inadequate blood supply in the brain that causes damage to the brain), or high pressure within the brain.

Isozyl Tablet 10's is used for the treatment of heart failure. The detailed uses of Isozyl Tablet 10's are as follows:

• Angina pectoris treatment: Isozyl Tablet 10's helps to relieve angina pectoris symptoms by widening blood vessels and improving blood flow to the heart, reducing chest pain.
• Prevention of angina attacks: Isozyl Tablet 10's can be administered to prevent the occurrence of angina attacks, especially during physical activity or stressful situations.
• Management of heart failure: Isozyl Tablet 10's helps to manage heart failure symptoms by reducing the heart workload and improving blood flow, often used alongside other medications for better heart function.

• Isozyl Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
• It is usually taken 3 times daily or as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow Isozyl Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• If you are pregnant or planning any pregnancy, let your doctor know about this before taking Isozyl Tablet 10's as it crosses the placenta and can affect the unborn baby (fetus).
• Do not drive while using this Isozyl Tablet 10's because it can cause dizziness that may lead to an accident.
• You may experience tingling or numbness, so your doctor may prescribe a vitamin B6 supplement (pyridoxine).
• Hydralazine passes into breast milk, so its use in lactating mothers should be avoided.
